Easter Sunday - Egg Rolling & Kite Flying


You are invited to join us at Lardon Chase (Streatley Hill) on Easter Sunday afternoon (from 3pm) for egg rolling & kite flying.  There will be prizes for the further egg roll and best decorated egg.  Hot Cross Buns will be provided, but please bring your own drinks and snacks.

If you're not familiar with the area, please park in the car park at the top of the hill here. We normally meet at the crest of the hill, overlooking Streatley about here.

Good Friday - All Age Service at St. Catherine's

There will be a special All-Age service at St. Catherine's on Good Friday (April 18th) at 10:30am.  Come and find out about "Good Friday" through Drama, Songs, Prayers, Craft & Games.

It will finish in time to attend the 12 noon Ecumenical Service at the Triangle for those who wish to go on to there.

Joint Mothering Sunday Service with Kids' Club at St Catherine's - 30th March

As usual, our 5th Sunday in the month is a united joint service with Kids' Club.  Sunday 30th March will be a special Mothering Sunday service at St Catherines, starting at 10:30 am.

This means there will be not be a service at Cornwell on the 30th.

Kids Club is where the young people have 45 minutes of their own activities; a time of modern worship with a short bible message and the opportunity to be apart of an exciting, growing, praying Church.

Community Litter Pick - Saturday 22nd March

We invite you to join us for a Community Litter Pick of the woods and footpaths in the local area on Saturday 22nd March 10.00 am to 11.30 am

Meet 10am at the Cornwell Centre Car Park,  Home Croft off Clements Mead, RG31 5WJ

Some tools will be available but it’s advisable to bring gloves.

Our Neighbourhood Wardens will be helping and on hand to talk about how their job is to make this a better place to live in.

Annual Church Meeting - Sunday 16th March

A reminder that Sunday 16th March is Cornwell's Annual Church Meeting.  It's your chance to help review the last year and help direct the next year.

Our Sunday Service will start as normal at 11:00 am, but will be shortened as we'll aim to start our meeting around 11:30 am.  There will be Sunday School and also our traditional copious supplies of tea, coffee and cake.

We hope you can come to give thanks for the past and shape the future.

Pancake Lunch - Sunday 2nd March

Please make a note in your diary that we're having a Pancake Lunch after the Church service on Sunday 2nd March.  If you're coming could you please

  • Let Caroline (or another member of the Leadership) that you're coming so that we can get the right amount of Pancakes
  • On the day, bring a sweet or savory filling to share.

20 years of Cornwell Community Church
