Egg Rolling and Kite Flying - Easter Sunday Afternoon

You are invited to join us for our traditional Egg Rolling and Kite Flying at Lardon Chase (Streatley Hill) on Easter Sunday afternoon (27th March) from 3:00.

There are competitions for the Furthest Egg Roll and Best Decorated Egg.

Hot Cross buns are provided.  Bring your own Drinks and Snacks.

The following services take place in the Parish over Easter

Maundy Thursday 24th March
  8.00 pm : Last Supper - St Catherine’s Hall

Good Friday 25th March
10.30 am : Good Friday All Age Event  -  St Catherine’s Hall
11.40 am : Walk of Witness to Tilehurst Triangle for 12noon event there
  2.00 pm : Last Hour  -  St Catherine’s Hall

Easter Sunday 27th March
 8.00 am : Holy Communion  -  St Catherine
 9.30 am : Holy Communion  -  St Catherine’s Hall
11.00 am : All Age Service  -  Cornwell

Palm Sunday - 20th March

It is Palm Sunday on March 20th.  Why not join us as we celebrate the start of Holy Week.  Refreshments available from 10:30am, the service starts at 11:00am.

In the afternoon please join us for one of our regular walk/tea events. Meet 2.30pm at Tony's home for a walk of about 3 miles, returning around 4pm for tea (bring cake to share).  The walk is not compulsory, you can just join us for tea at 4pm!

Charity food collection

From now until Harvest the food donations that we collect at church will go to Readifood

They say: "ReadiFood currently deliver just around 120 Emergency Food Parcels every week to families and individuals across the greater Reading area (Food parcels are only given to clients referred to us by local agencies)"

And they say: "We are currently very short of Canned Meat, Tins of Meat Readimeals, Canned Fish. Amongst other foods that we always need are:- Cereals, Biscuits, Tea bags (40 or 80 packs), Coffee (Instant), Tinned Food, Steamed Puddings, Meat pies, Meat, Tuna, Pasta sauces, Long Life Milk, Shower Gel, Toothpaste, Soap, Baby Food, Nappies."

Churches have been asked to donate Easter Eggs to put in Easter food parcels but they need to be with Readifood by next week so we’ll need to have them this Sunday 13th.
